JOB PURPOSE:

 

The role of the Senior Delivery Service Operative is to lead, deploy, motivate & engage the depot-based delivery operations team to achieve agreed customer service levels and ensuring safe working systems are embedded throughout daily operations within the field and in depots.

 

  • Responsible for ensuring customer orders are picked & delivered in accordance with the agreed planned schedule and customer service levels and all delivery administration processes are completed on time and in full.
  • Operates as the face of Vimto OOH at customer outlets, the role will ensure the needs and concerns of the customers are met in an effective and timely manner through own actions or internal escalation.
  • Uses customer interaction and outlet experience to identify potential sales opportunities and customer solutions and highlight internally to commercial or operational management for follow-up.
  • Responsible for daily workplace & facilities management & housekeeping of the hub/depot, and leads workplace & facilities management audit improvement activities with support from Regional Operations Manager.
  • Owns full stock lifecycle management processes for products & consumables in hub/depot and vehicles.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Manage the daily performance of the hub/depot based Delivery Operations Team driving performance to achieve agreed customer service levels and ensuring all delivery administration & stock rotation activities are completed to the required standard.
  • Manage the utilisation of the Delivery Service Team in the hub/depot and in support of the region.
  • Scheduling of customer adhoc delivery activities in accordance with customer segmentation categorisation
  • Day to day workplace & facilities management of the hub/depot ensuring excellent standards of housekeeping, adherence to safe systems of work, and managing and/or escalating any non onformances or issues as required.
  • Leads workplace & facilities management audit improvement activities with support from Regional Operations Manager.
  • Manage product & consumables stock lifecycle processes – regular stock takes, forecasting, ordering, adjustments, responsible waste disposal, and identification of stock write-offs
