ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

 

We are looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. You will be responsible for managing the financial accounting processes across the organisation.

 

This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supports the consolidation of financial information from multiple business units.

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).

  • General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.

  • Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, implementing controls to mitigate risks.

  • Audit Support: Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any audit findings.

  • Financial Analysis: Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance to support management decision-making.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and support commercial budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.

  • Training and Development: Mentor junior accounting staff and support their professional development.

    YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree educated

  • Fully qualified Accountant, preferably ACA

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting or reporting roles, preferably within an audit practice or a group/multinational environment

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations

  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)

  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
