The Customer Development Executive is a key member of UK Packaging commercial team supporting the Food Service and Wholesale channels. The role is responsible for managing numerous smaller volume/profit customer portfolios in food service and wholesale across the UK through developing & executing customer plans that maximise all branded sales and deliver top line sales & profit growth.


This role will concentrate on driving current core business as well as delivering new product listings & NPD in existing accounts on time and in line with Brand and channel plans. Furthermore the role will continuously focus on developing the UK Packaged portfolio and category share by increasing relative share of fixture space.


This role will secure fully integrated promotional plans to include both feature space, permanent secondary siting, on line visibility and execute agreed customer initiatives including trade marketing plans, trade shows, and regional incentives.



*         Account planning & Account profitability (P&L including product portfolio profitability (Internal external)

*         Forecasting (volume & financial)

*         Promotional planning and execution (including on line / social media)

*         Tactical & Strategic initiatives

*         Event execution

*         Creating a digital execution plan for the channel

*         Cross functional integration (internal & external)

*         Commercial acumen includes:

*           Business plans

*           Day to day use of financial ratios, including investment ROI & evaluation

*           Effective communication including presentations internal & external



*         Appreciation of basic selling skills

*         Knowledge of UK soft drinks market preferable

*         Good IT, analytical & communication skills

*         Full, clean driving licence



*         Typically demonstrates career progression to date with a minimum of 12 months experience within a Commercial environment

*         Able to build relationships quickly and effectively across commercial contacts

*         Ability to execute agreed plans

*         Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
